After speaking about collaborating with Lil Wayne, Strange Music co-founder and Kansas City, Missouri veteran emcee Tech N9ne confirmed this week that the two finally met. Lil Wayne’s August phone call with Funkmaster Flex , whereby the Young Money Records head claiming he wanted to work with Tech N9ne and Andre 3000 prompted this ongoing discussion.
“I really feel that it’s validated that [the man who calls himself 'the best rapper alive'] thinks I’m an elite emcee. That feels so good to me. People hold him up there. Even Eminem said he was jealous of him,” Tech told HipHopDX in an August feature. In that conversation, the K.O.D.-maker revealed that the two had never met, despite a mutual respect. – Tech N9ne
