Wiz Khalifia, who was arrested around 1:40am this morning after a performance at East Carolina University, was released around 8am on a $300,000 bond. Nine others also were booked into the jail about the same time facing the same charges. The men also were arrested by East Carolina University police. It’s unclear if the arrests are related. Wiz has officially been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor), maintaining a dwelling/place for the sale of a controlled substance (felony) and drug trafficking (felony).
Wiz returned to Twitter shortly after to make a “statement”. The first thing he said? “waken…baken…wrist still achin. thnx for tha love and support” Errrr….what a thing to put RIGHT after you’re released on drug charges. SMH! He also added soon after, “Man jail sux!” Yea so…I suggest you keep those kind of statuses to a minumum! Glad you’re out though, Wiz.
