Judge Deanne Salcido of San Diego will be resigning in five days and will no longer be able to hold judicial office after she allowed her courtroom to be filmed as part of an audition for a reality show. Uh…isn’t it common sense that’d you’d PROBABLY have to get that cleared first?

The panel of judges, lawyers and members of the public said the judge’s “audition” made a “mockery of the judicial system and gave the unseemly impression that she was playing to the cameras.”

Apparently Salcido, who has been a judge since 2002, shopped around a video of her courtroom proceedings, whch were filmed by the husband of a bailiff.
