Well yes and no. She can still hang in Times Square if she wants, but the plan MTV  had for Snooks to go inside the NYE ball and drop down was completely nixed by city officials.

“The Snooki ball drop isn’t going to happen in Times Square. At midnight, the crowd and the media will be watching Mayor Bloomberg, Dick Clark and the official ball drop, not a cast member of the ‘Jersey Shore.’ No way would they allow this to take place. MTV rents a position in the Square that night like every other media outlet. You can’t get access to the Square without an official credential. You have to play by the official rules or you get kicked out, which is exactly what has happened to MTV and Snooki.”

Not one to be shut down, MTV thought quickly and soon a new plan was hatched. Their beloved Snooki will drop down in the ball (pictured above) as planned…only this one will take place in the town she knows best…Seaside Heights AKA the Jersey Shore!
