President Obama To Travel To Tucson In Response To Shootings

President Obama will travel to Arizona on Wednesday in the wake of the weekend shooting there that left six people dead and 14 wounded, including a member of Congress.

The president will likely attend a memorial service and visit with victims’ families in Tucson, the sources said. He has spoken to many of the family members already by phone.

Obama will be joined by his wife, Michelle Obama, according to a University of Arizona statement. It said the president is scheduled to speak at a memorial service at the school Wednesday.
