Yup..it’s just as bizarre as it sounds. LOL! Two police officers, who dress as clowns as part of a community affairs program designed to teach children values, arrested two thieves in northern Mexico, officials said.

Officers Tomas Lumbreras and Alexandro Khaon spotted the two suspects acting suspiciously on Tuesday and quickly took action.

(FOX) – “When my partner spotted a person going through a bag on the railroad tracks, we decided to make an arrest so there would be an investigation,” one of the officers said.

The officers perform regular police work and “dress as clowns to teach classes on values to pre-school, elementary and high school children in the city,” the police department in San Nicolas de los Garza, a city in the northern state of Nuevo Leon, said.

Suspects Dolores Muñoz Martinez, 44, and Osvaldo Rodriguez Flores, 33, were paraded before reporters accompanied by the officers who arrested them.
