On Wednesday January 19th as the Long Islander’s start their daily commute, Long Island radio will explode with excitement as JVC Broadcasting debuts the new WJVC-FM, MY COUNTRY 96.1FM Center Moriches, New York a brand new ‘country music’ station made for Long Island.

“We are very excited to bring country music to Long Island, said JVC Broadcasting’s CEO John Caracciolo. JVC COO Vic Latino; states, “There is a huge hole in this market for this music, we have created a radio station that is exciting, fun and local, this is what radio used to be”.

JVC is launching an extensive marketing campaign over all of Suffolk County, NY. Many announcements will be coming in the next few weeks regarding live broadcasts, appearances and concerts with MY COUNTRY 96.1FM. The new format will debut with 10,000 commercial free country songs.

  Was thrilled that we finally have a Country Music station. Not so thrilled that the some songs are played 6 and 7 times in an 8 hour span. Stuck On You by Sugarland is played once every hour and 15 minutes! (We counted at the office.) Also, is there going to be any humans on the radio station? Some local news, weather or traffic?
