The Lakers picked up their 36th win of the season in the 1,073rd game of Kobe Bryant’s career.
Which is significant, since Michael Jordan’s basketball career spanned 1,072 games.
Even with the game in hand, MJ has Kobe in scoring (32,292 points to 27,112) and assisting (5,633 to 5,026) and rebounding (6,672 to 5,679) and rings under Phil Jackson (6 to 5).
You can say that MJ did all that in fewer games than Kobe but let’s not forget how hard Kobe had to work just to become a starter and face of the Lakers. MJ has started way more games than Kobe allowing him to get the pts, assists, and rebs.
