Apparently Rim is fed up with Apps like kik trying to use their platform to pop off so they are just going to destroy that competition by doing it themselves.
Now they haven’t figured pricing just yet, whether it will be Free(which we’d prefer), one-time Fee(which we’d Do) or a subscription based fee(which we’d turn our noises up at), And word is no mater what the pricing, it will be a stripped down version, probably not allowing the sending of pics and files 🙁

I think that this is a good look, but again RIM is behind with the trends. Gtalk is on every device, Yahoo Messenger, and AOL messenger are also. I installed it and it works great
