We all woke up to the horrible news that famous crooner Nate Dogg passed away late last night. Immediately I looked for Snoop’s reaction, someone who is not only from the same area (thus inevitably has rubbed shoulders with him more than once) but was a frequent collaborator with Nate…and both were instrumental in putting California on the map with hip-hop and R&B in the 90’s. Read what Snoop said after the jump and of course, RIP once again Nate Dogg. Another great one gone way too soon.
Via his Twitter, Snoop wrote:

RIP Nate Dogg 🙁 the one & only
What can I say. I’m sad. From the first time I heard him singing, I was hooked on that special sound only he could deliver. My youngest was given his middle name after Nate. His name is Andrew “Nathaniel”. I was taking him to school this morning when I heard. As I was driving, I just looked and Andy and drove in silence.
Much love to his family and closest friends. R.I.P. Nathaniel Hale b.k.a Nate Dogg.
Gonna miss ya Nate. Smoke 1 for me up there
RIP! Thank you for all your music. We’ll miss you.
