Tennessee Titans coach Mike Munchak said Thursday he will not reconsider the franchise’s decision to part ways with QB Vince Young.

Installed as head coach in February, Munchak said he’ll stick with the ouster of Young that was announced prior to Jeff Fisher’s departure as head coach.

“That was a decision made months ago and nothing that is going to happen personnel-wise, or how the draft goes, is going to change that,” Munchak said, via the Tennessean. “It wasn’t just a Jeff Fisher decision — I think people kind of have that feeling because it happened back then we could change our decision.”

Last week, Titans RB Chris Johnson said he hoped the team would reconsider its ties to Young — who is still on the roster but is set to be cut or traded after the lockout ends.

Fellow QB Kerry Collins is to become a free agent, which could leave the Titans with only third-stinger Rusty Smith on the roster.
