Hi Flex, I’m writing to you on behalf of GIRLS WHO ROCK, the second annual benefit concert for non-profit She’s the First. This year the concert will be held at Gramercy Theatre on Friday, June 10th and features an all-star diverse lineup including platinum-recording artist JoJo, Nina Sky, the R&B duo of Natalie and Nicole Albino who hit Billboard charts with their hit “Move Ya Body†and will be featured in the Pueto Rican Day Parade June 12; Nikki Jean, Eddy, KimberlyNichole, featured in Vogue; along with DJ Kiss, emcee Touré, host of Fuse TV and Rolling Stone music journalist.
GIRLS WHO ROCK will benefit She’s the First, a not-for-profit which sponsors girls’ education in the developing world so they can be first in their families to graduate. In countries like Uganda, where GIRLS WHO ROCK’s goal is to raise at least $20,000 to sponsor 42 girls at the Arlington Academy of Hope, less than 20% of girls graduate high school. Another first, on a local NYC level, is that we have taken high school and college students through their first live production from beginning to end, teaching them the importance of collaboration, making the connection to the students in Uganda, and letting them create and problem solve!
With such an amazing lineup, GIRLS WHO ROCK would be a great fit for In Flex We Trust. Please let me know if you’d be interested in covering, we’d love to be featured on your site and if you are in the city June 10th, we’d love to see you on the carpet!
Thank you!
All the best,
Sanam
