Warner Bros  Interactive announced the newest downloadable character for Mortal Kombat would be Nightmare on Elm Street sinsister  villain Freddy Krueger.
Freddy will be available for $4.99 on Xbox Live and The  Playstation Network.  Owners of the game who purchase a season will get Freddy as part of the package of new downloadable characters Warner Bros. Interactive announced.  Freddy will have his own special set of moves, story, and fatalities.  Freddy will be available for download this August.
