Shortly before Sugarland was set to begin a concert, strong winds led to the collapse of a stage at the Indiana State Fair Saturday night. Five people have been confirmed dead and dozens of others were injured.

In a statement, Sugarland singer Jennifer Nettles says the band, which has canceled a planned Sunday appearance at the Iowa State Fair, is “stunned and heartbroken for the fans and their families in Indiana.”

Nettles added, “We hold those injured in our prayers at this very sad time. There are no words. It is tragic.”

Other country stars have commented about the tragedy via Twitter. Blake Shelton said the accident was “absolutely shocking” and gave his “prayers to the people at the Sugarland concert in Indianapolis.” Meanwhile, Martina McBride tweeted, “So sad to hear about the State Fair in Indianapolis. Our prayers are with Sugarland, their fans, and all the personnel working there.”
