KRIT was set to be one of two “XXL Freshmen” alum to drop their debut album on September 27th, but it looks like J. Cole is going to be on his own that day. The Def Jam emcee got his first taste of the politics of the business…and is now looking at a pushback to 2012. Details via XXL below.

Big K.R.I.T. has announced that his Def Jam debut, Live From The Underground, won’t be hitting ears until early next year.

Early this morning, Jonny Shipes, head of Cinematic Music Group, took to Twitter to make the announcement. “Big K.R.I.T. #livefromtheunderground isnt droppin 9.27 anymore moved 2 top of next year. #goodtalk (sic),” Shipes wrote. Though no other details were revealed, and K.R.I.T. did add anything himself (he retweeted Shipes’s post), it seems the southern spitter and his label felt he could benefit from having some more time to properly finish his major label debut. Krizzle’s single, “Country Shit (Remix)” featuring Bun B and Ludacris is currently resting on the Billboard Hip-Hop/R&B Songs chart.
