We noted last month that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have put their playbooks on iPads. But those high-tech playbooks can’t be used in the locker room before games, or on the sidelines during games.

As noted by Charley Casserly of CBS today, the NFL has a decidedly low-tech policy when it comes to what’s allowed on game days: Players and coaches are absolutely not allowed to use computers, tablets and other electronic devices, or allowed to watch film during games. The league reminded every team that iPads apply.

So from 90 minutes before kickoff until the end of a game, there’s absolutely no use of iPads by anyone: Not coaches, not players.
