Administrators at Kenwood High School are investigating the incident, reportedly involving members of the junior varsity team.
The encounter took place on school property and was consensual, according to district officials.

A Baltimore County schools spokesman said about six students were directly involved in the incident.
Others are thought to have had knowledge about it but failed to report it.
The spokesman said that as a result, Kenwood forfeited its game against Eastern Technical High School.

In a letter to parents dated September 14, the school’s principal, Paul Martin, addressed the investigation:’The administration has been investigating a situation that occurred after school with a female member of our student body and members of the junior varsity football team,’ he wrote.
Mr Martin contended making any attempts to contact the girl involved to discuss the situation ‘and/or making threats towards students who may or may not have been involved in the investigation will not be tolerated.’

He said several of the boys allegedly involved in the incident had received school sanctions and would also be removed from the team.
Officials would not say specifically what sanctions were taken against which students.
However, the infractions involved could lead to a suspension under the county’s Code of Conduct, according to local reports.
Baltimore County police and school administrators said no criminal investigation was under way, reported WBALTV.
