Yohan Hernandez, 14, was standing on a chair installing a curtain rod at his Bronx apartment window, where he lived with his mother and brothers, when he fell five floors to his death. Continue reading after the jump.

Police said one of the chair legs collapsed, tipping Hernandez out of the open window.
Despite tree branches breaking his fall, Hernandez died of his injuries in a nearby hospital.
Speaking to the New York Post family friend Louisa Quezada, 21, said: ‘He was always there.
‘I grew up with him. It was a close family. He was a good brother.’
Also talking to the paper, 32-year-old Frenchy Figueroa, the boy’s aunt, said she could not understand his death.
‘You don’t just fall out of a window, but he did. He was always a happy baby.’
Orlando Ventura, 44, who witnessed the gruesome scene said ‘His stomach was swollen. He was pale. They were pumping him, pumping him, pumping him.’
