Uh-Oh, Don’t let Brandon Jacobs hear this. Deion Sanders thinks Rex Grossman may be the best QB in the NFC East. Better than Eli Manning? Better than Michael Vick? Yep.
Check what he had to say after the jump…

“Really, I’m gonna say something that could shock you,” Sanders said on the NFL Network. “Let me look at my camera and spit this game: Rex Grossman may be the best quarterback right now in the NFC East. Yeah, I said it, and I didn’t stutter. He may be. And the team with the most balance may be the Washington Redskins.”

“You said Rex is the best…” a nearly speechless Michael Irvin replied.

“I think so, most consistent,” Sanders answered.

“That’s another word,” Irvin said. “Best is different than most consistent. Maybe he’s playing the best because he’s being able to hand the ball off more than other guys, but Rex is not the best quarterback in the NFC East.”

“He’s the best right now, right now, no, no, he is,” Sanders insisted. “Who is?

“I’ll take any other one of the quarterbacks over Rex,” Irvin said. “I’m taking Vick, Romo and Eli before Rex. Did I stutter?…Let me look into my camera: I’ll take all three of them before I take Rex Grossman. Did I stutter? That’s what I’m saying.”

For the record, neither man stuttered.

Fans, of course, immediately began writing to Sanders on Twitter to tell him that he’s an idiot. He then responded like this:

“I knew that Rex Grossman statement would crank y’all up. But watch over the next 3 weeks and holla at me.”
