I would say how ridiculous it is that an Ivy League school had a Jersey Shore cast member to speak to their class…BUT not only was the topic relevant to his show, Vinny’s also not that big of a dimwit like some of his castmates. He’s actually pretty intelligent and definitely one of the tamest on the popular reality show. Mr. Guadagnino was invited to speak in one of Columbia’s sociology classes on the topic of “deviance”. Vin spent a lot of time talking about being bullied growing up. It went really well — that is, until he opened the floor up for questions.
We’re told one observer bluntly asked, “What gives you, as a cast member of ‘Jersey Shore,’ the right to interrupt this class and then lecture us on setting a good example?”
