Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was injured in the second quarter of the Steelers Thursday night matchup with the Cleveland Browns. Roethlisberger’s left leg buckled when hit low from the side by former Steeler Scott Paxson. Browns defensive lineman Brian Schaefring hit Ben high as the big quarterback rolled over his left leg.

Roethlisberger was helped off to the locker room by the Pittsburgh training staff. Initial indications were that he could not put any weight on the left ankle, but the hit did not look good all the way from the knee to the ankle. He started to walk with a little more power as he got closer to the locker room but Steelers fans are still holding their breath. Charlie Batch is in at quarterback for Pittsburgh.
