Kim Kardashian and her momager Kris Jenner have headed down to Haiti on a humanitarian mission to improve the health and safety of women in poor countries. Kim and Kris joined “Prime Suspect” star
Maria Bello’s charity We Advance while down in Haiti. Kim felt that helping the women in Haiti would help her escape the paparazzi and the scrutiny from her divorce while helping women in need. Read more after the jump.
Kim Kardashian is taking a break from her divorce drama to give back to others in need, specficially, Haitian women in need.
The reality star reportedly is in Haiti helping out We Advance, a charity group founded by “Prime Suspect” star Maria Bello that works to improve the health and safety of women in poor countries.
But Kim’s not going it alone. In true momager form, Kris Jenner is Kim’s “plus one†to the humanitarian mission.“She connected with Maria Bello and is there with Maria’s foundation and also with her mom,” a source told People. “Her intention was always to take the end of the year to focus on some of the other things that are important to her and this trip was one.”
It’s not the first time Kardashian, 31, has been seen giving back since she announced her divorce from NBA player Kris Humphries in late October. The “Kourtney and Kim Take New York” star was also seen spending the Wednesday before Thanksgiving feeding the hungry at the Los Angeles Mission.
“[KIM’S] father instilled in her and her siblings that every little bit counts and she always tries to do as much as she can–whether it’s privately or whether it’s something that she can use her platform for–to help,” the source told People.
