FOX Sports insider and NFL Network contributor Jay Glazer reported Sunday that Manning suited up and worked out with running backs and wide receivers following a practice this week. Manning previously had thrown to receivers at the Colts’ practice facility, but this was the first time he actively participated in drills while wearing his pads.

Glazer also reported that Manning is working hard to play this season after missing the first 14 games following a September neck surgery.

The Colts have refused to place Manning on season-ending injured reserve, holding out hope that their star quarterback could make a comeback.
