We were happy to learn earlier this year that the PlayStation Store was landing on Sony’s Tablet S, but now we’ve received even better news: Sony has announced that the Android-powered tablet is being updated to support DualShock controllers.

Owner’s of the Tablet S will be able to sync their PlayStation 3 controller to the device to use with their selection of games. According to Engadget, initial setup requires you to link the controller to the tablet using a USB connector, but after that, you’ll be wire-free.

The update is currently available in Japan, and comes with an Ape Escape-themed mini collection.

There is no word on if or when the dual-screen Sony Tablet P will receive the same treatment.
