It has been a tough year for the not so much dream team.  Part their fault, part media creation and part fan expectations, but it was Super Bowl or bust and alas the Eagles won’t even make the playoffs.  Read more after the jump.
Michael Vick also failed to live up to expectation, but I think he proved that he should be the Eagles QB for the foreseeable future. Still one of the most dangerous players in the league and he played through a ton of ailments this year.
He didn’t have to apologize to the fans, but nice gesture nevertheless. I think without the weight of expectations on them in 2012 they will have a very strong year.
Here is what Vick had to say.
“We’re all going through it together,†said Vick. “We want to win just as bad as they want us to. Just certain things didn’t happen the way we wanted them to; this is where the chips fell. We’re all disappointed, we wish it could be better and the outcome could be different, but we apologize and hopefully will get them what they want very soon.â€
