The Kepler space telescope has discovered a bevy of new planets. Raising the question, are we really the only ones? Hit the jump for more!

The NASA Kepler space telescope has discovered 11 new planetary systems, housing 26 planets. According to NASA “In just two years staring at a patch of sky not much bigger than your fist, Kepler has discovered more than 60 planets and more than 2,300 planet candidates.” While the discovery of these new planets is astonishing, the planets are not very similar to ours. However, only time will tell if something or someone is out there.
