Drake and Common have had a very public beef over the past couple months. It started with Common’s song “Sweet” off his album “The Dreamer/The Believer,” that people felt could be aimed at Drake because he said hip-hop is soft. When pressed about it multiple times, Com came out and said if Drake feels it’s about him, then it’s about him. Couple more interviews talking about it, then Drake took some shots on “Stay Schemin”, followed by Com taking some more shots over the same beat. Birdman said his piece on it, a parody video was made, Common talked about it AGAIN. Then he addresses it one MORE time and says he’s down to end it. Finally, Drake addressed it head on today and said plain and simple, he’s not dealing with it. Sheesh. When it comes down to it, who do you think is better? Vote below!

Honestly, is this a serious question? Common is one of the last true lyricists left along with Talib, Mos, and Lupe. Drake is only relevant because of YMCMB
lmaoo c’mon, even drake would say common LOL
Drake just sells an image… It’s almost like he became famous so he can rap about being famous. Nothing else seems to be going on with him…same subject over & over.
Common spits that real about real love, loss, community, world events, history etc. & don’t make it an age thing either. When Common was Drake’s age he was still miles ahead of him.
Whomever says Drake is better over Common needs to really evaluate sh!t!
lmfaooo cmon really? who voted for drake? Have some Common sense
Common is far better, and it’s not even close. I’m talking lightyears here, people. It’s unbelievably sad that most of the people voting for Drake are just teens who have never heard of Common (or real hip-hop, for that matter). Common could rhyme circles around Drake… Drake is:
a) A fake
b) Not even a rapper
c) A terrible rapper when he tries
d) From Canada (Not dissing you Canadians out there…)
I mean really? A Chi-town hip-hop vet with some of the greatest albums of all time, arguably THE best hip-hop song of all time (“I Used to Love H.E.R.), who has collaborated with LEGENDS (him being a LEGEND himself…), and has worked with producers such as DJ PREMIER, Q-TIP, J-DILLA, AND KANYE WEST. IT’S NOT CLOSE AND NEVER WILL CLOSE, NO MATTER WHAT DRAKE PUTS ON THE MARKET. I AM NOT A DRAKE HATER BY ANY MEANS, BUT EVEN COMPARING THE TWO IS JUST BLASPHEMOUS. TO BE COMPLETELY HONEST, IT IS UTTERLY DISRESPECTFUL.
And Drake dissed Common first, then Common came back at him. Yes, Common was probably trying to get some attention, but Drake gave him the opportunity, and he took advantage of it. You can’t expect to have some softy, borderline pure singer try to diss a GREAT without some retaliation…
SO IF YOU EVER ASK ME: ‘IS COMMON BETTER THAN DRAKE?’, EXPECT TO HEAR: YES YES Y’ALL
KNOWLEDGE IN YA EAR…

P.S.: AND TO YOU PUNK MUTHASUCKAS WHO THINK DRAKE IS BETTER THAN COMMON: Y’ALL MUTHASUCKAS NEED JESUS!
