Jose Reyes wanted to join the new-look Miami Marlins so much this offseason that he agreed to sacrifice his trademark dreadlocks. (OK, so the $106 million over six seasons helped convince him.)

The Marlins have a strict policy about short hair and with Reyes set to report to camp later this month, the time has come for a haircut.

And that haircut with be televised on MLB Network on Friday.

“No problem at all,” Reyes told reporters after being introduced earlier this offseason, according to The Miami Herald. “That’s not going to affect me and the way I play the game. I’ve got to cut it off, no problem.”

Reyes hit an NL-best .337 last season with seven homers, 44 RBIs, 101 runs scored, 39 stolen bases and a .384 on-base percentage in 126 games for the New York Mets this past season. His 16 triples also led the league.
