If you managed to stay awake or not change the channel then you saw the lackluster Sprite Slam Dunk contest last night. Â Despite the lack of superstars I would have respected it if they dunks were actually good. Â Kevin Durant however and many others think the stars need to return to the contest. Â Read more after the jump.
Lebron James has come under heavy fire for STILL not entering the dunk contest after all these years. Â James said he would consider entering the contest if the winner received $1 million. Â Well after last night being deemed “the worst dunk contest ever”, Lebron is being called out even more than usual for not participating. Â Kevin Durant seems to share these sentiments and also threw some other names in the mix. Â Last night Durant tweeted this:
Wade responded:
Doubt it! These dudes have big egos and don’t want to lose.and they are probably aren’t good with coming up with innovative dunks.Just because you are an elite player doesn’t mean you are an elite dunker.
 @rnsoneÂ
But it does mean more people will watch. Those cats are divas. Even Jordan was in the dunk contest 3 or 4 years during his career. Egos are killing the NBA.
@NaaEzy @Ice_burge_slim @rnsone @ohletsdoit so you mean to tell Lebron wants to be considered as 1 of the greats but is afraid to join the contest. all the greats participated at least once Kobe Jordan Dr. J, Dominique etc etc.
