Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow suddenly cancelled media interviews Saturday in Tampa where he’s making appearances to raise money for wounded war veterans.

WTSP-TV sports anchor Nicole Darin tweeted that Tebow is “rattled,” in her opinion, after free agent Peyton Manning spent six hours with the Broncos top brass on Friday.

Broncos owner Pat Bolen took a red eye flight from Hawaii to Denver to meet with Manning. Manning also met with Broncos general manager Brian Xanders, executive vice president John Elway and head coach John Fox.

Tebow’s decision to cancel media interviews is highly unusual. He’s always willing to speak with reporters.

Of course, all the questions directed at Tebow would focus on Manning’s visit to Denver and not the war veterans.

But Tebow will have to face the music pretty soon.

He may go back to being the No. 2 quarterback if the Broncos sign Manning.
