Rihanna appeared on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show this morning and finally opened up about the controversial decision to put her ex Chris Brown on her “Birthday Cake” remix, as well as appearing on the remix to his song, “Turn Up The Music.” On her decision to do the collabs, she says she went that route because he’s “the hottest R&B artist out right now.”

RiRi is really loving her some Breezy! I do think he’s pretty hot in the game right now too, but the hottest? I don’t know! I think she’s trying to mask her lusting with professionalism. What do you guys think? After the jump, read more about her decision to work with Chris, as well as details about her diet, her new fashion line and more.

On Collaborating With Chris Brown:
Rihanna recalls beginning the collaboration process saying: “The first song that came about was ‘Birthday Cake.’ I mean we ended up recording them at the same time and executing them together, but I reached out to him about doing ‘Birthday Cake’ because that’s the only person that really–it made sense to do the record. Just as a musician despite everything else that was going to be the person. You know I thought about rappers, and I’ve done that so many times, and the hottest R&B artist out right now is Chris Brown. So I wanted him on the track, and then in turn he was like ‘Why don’t you do the remix to my track?’ and it was a trade off. We did two records. One for my fans. One for his fans, and that way our fans can come together. There shouldn’t be a divide. You know? It’s music, and it’s innocent.”

Focusing In On Right Now?
The Rihanna Navy, which includes over 14 million Twitter followers and 53 million fans on Facebook, is clamoring to know what to expect in 2012. RiRi reveals: ”Right now, I’m doing a bunch of meetings, little things here and there. Some video, some photoshoots. No touring this year. I won’t go on tour until next year. Though this year were doing movies, and still making music, and music videos. I’m really prepping for the next year.”

On Creating Her Own Fashion Line:
The Barbadian beauty has become a fashion trendsetter and aims to eventually offer her very own fashion line! The fashionista began her journey with ”a small collection that I do for Armani. It’s a collaboration, and it’s like 7-10 pieces. Apparel and accessories and we’ve done the fall collection already, and it was very, very successful and now the spring collection is about to drop. After that I’m really pursuing a fashion line of my own. I want to design. This is also a road that I want to earn it. So I’m working with designers. Designers that I respect, and [fashion] companies that I respect. I want people to really trust me before I just say ‘Buy it, because it’s mine.’”

On Her Five Factor Diet:
“The Five Factor Diet has gone straight out the window ever since I went on tour. I mean, It’s difficult to have any kind of routine when your schedule is that crazy. So I really have no idea how I’m continuously losing weight. It’s actually pretty annoying, because now I don’t have a butt, and I have no boobs. I already had no boobs to start with. So annoying! and I’m eating everything!”
