Daily Mail – A father and his girlfriend have been accused of caging the man’s 13-year-old son in a closet and denying him food until he weighed just 40 pounds.
Michael Marshall, 38, and his live-in girlfriend, Sharon Glass, 48, were arrested after police discovered that the boy had been kept in a closet, strapped to a bed and locked in a bathroom for weeks at a time.
Hospital staff said the condition of the child resembled images of ‘concentration camp survivors’. He was severely malnourished and treated for dehydration.
The Orlando couple have been charged with on three counts of aggravated child abuse and aggravated child neglect, reports Bay News 9.
