Over?  The Jeremy Lin era is over when Mike Woodson says it’s over.

Apparently it is over.

Marc Berman of the New York Post writes today that the interim coach is putting the team’s future in the hands of Amar’e Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony.

In fact, with Woodson going to a more deliberate offense and away from Mike D’Antoni’s race horse style, Lin’s starting job could ultimately end up with either Baron Davis or Mike Bibby.

“It’s everybody’s ballclub. But I want everyone to know that when it comes (crunch) time and I got to get a big shot, I’m going to Melo and Amar’e and guys who have done it,” Woodson told Berman. “A lot of these guys are young and still trying to figure it out. Those guys have been around the block a number of times and have done it. They’ll be go-to guys coming down the stretch.”

Said Stoudemire: “He’s going to utilize his leading scorers, myself and Carmelo Anthony, make sure he takes advantage of every opportunity on the court. We’ve been profound scorers all our careers. He wants to make sure we take advantage of that.”
