Jeremy Lin of the New York Knicks is poised to announce his first major endorsement deal since bursting on to the NBA scene and sparking a global “Lin-Sanity” craze. The 23-year old point guard will tout Volvo cars and helped lead the Swedish car brand’s push into China where the NBA has also been expanding.

Volvo Cars of North America has set a 5 p.m. press conference in New York to “announce a dynamic marketing partnership,” according to the Wall Street Journal.

The U.S.-born son of Taiwanese immigrants also has a deal with Nike. Despite the loss of Knicks coach/mentor Mike D’Antoni who suddenly resigned last week, Lin continues to start and play well for new coach Mike Woodson. Lin paced the Knicks with 19 points as the team won its third straight game under Woodson Saturday night.
