Randy Moss, 35, who un-retired and signed a one-year contract with the San Francisco 49ers last week, has filed a lawsuit claiming he may have lost a $160,000 investment in a barber shop.

Miami attorney Eduardo Rasco, who filed the suit on behalf of the wide receiver, said he can’t comment.

“Randy’s sort of a private person,” Rasco said.

Court papers show Moss, who spends the off-season working out in Deerfield Beach gyms, says he poured the money into the 301 Salon on hip Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach.

The deal called for Moss to be paid back in eight years and receive up to 25 percent from the revenues of the shop, which also catered to other famous athletes like retired NFL kick returnerDesmond Howard.

Shop co-owner Kelvin Jones, however, tried to reimburse the loan with worthless checks, Moss contends in the suit. He also says Jones changed the name of the corporation that owned the salon to avoid paying back.

The shop’s telephone numbers are disconnected, as are the numbers of Jones, his brother Jerel and wife Evelyn, who opened the joint after running a successful hair-cutting operation in their backyard.

According to news accounts about the opening, Salon 301 also received grants from Delray Beach’s Community Redevelopment Authority and Palm Beach County.
