A woman is facing possible criminal charges for allegedly driving with her newborn baby in her handbag. I hope she’s getting an ACS case with that, apparently when the cop asked where’s the baby? She unzipped her bag and there was the child. Click below to read the rest of the story.
Officers reportedly pulled the woman over for a routine traffic stop Tuesday.
While asking for the woman’s license, the officer heard a baby crying but could not see one, The Associated Press reported.
When he inquired about a baby, the woman allegedly unzipped a purse and revealed a tiny newborn.
Police say the woman told them that the baby girl was born at home a week ago and she driving the infant to a doctor, according to the AP.
Authorities rushed the newborn to a hospital.
The mother was released, but may face criminal charges.
“I thought I saw everything in my years of police work, but this is unbelievable,” Deputy Police Chief Christopher Howell told the AP.
