We all have moments of anger and sometimes we let it get the best of it. We’ve all heard some ways to calm down anger but some of those tips might be misleading. Read some things you should do for anger and something you should avoid when you are angry below.

Dos:

1. Count to 10 or how ever long it takes you to calm down.
2. Forgive
3. Distract yourself
4. Take a deep breath
5. Write about it.
6. Exercise
7. Practice compassion.
8. Try to be grateful.
9. Talk about it once calm.
10. Consider prayer.

Don’ts

1. Deny that you’re angry.
2. Stomp or storm away.
3. Send angry emails or any email while angry.
4. Talk about the issue before calming down.
