Florida special prosecutor Angela Corey announced the formal charges at the state attorney’s office in Jacksonville, Florida on Wednesday afternoon, where she pledged, “We will continue to seek the truth.”

he 28-year-old neighborhood watch volunteer could face life in prison and could be hit with up to $10,000 in fines for the shooting death of the teen from Sanford, Florida that occurred 45 days ago and has caused outrage across the country since.

Zimmerman’s attorney Mark O’Mara will ask the judge to grant his client bail, pending the trial. “Mark will ask a judge to release George (Zimmerman) on a very low bail amount since he voluntarily surrendered to law enforcement before the Florida Special Prosecutor announced that he was going to be charged. O’Mara has been told that if the judge grants him bail, the prosecution will ask that George be fitted with an electronic monitoring device. It will be up to the judge to decide if George should wear a GPS device if he is able to make bail,” RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

Earlier this week, Zimmerman created www.therealgeorgezimmerman.com asking his “supporters” to help him pay for day to day expenses “in lieu of my forced inability to maintain employment,” and his lawyers confirmed that the site is legitimate.
