Neighbors identified the 32-year-old lover as Everol Ellington by neighbors.

The dead couple lived in the Jamaica home with Lambert’s 16-year-old son and 18-year-old daughter from a previous marriage, according to a friend.

“The big son ran over here and told me: ‘My mom and dad are dead,’” family friend Rene Bryan said.

“He said the little baby — who is 2 — woke him up and told him.”

Bryan, who lives two houses over on Dillon St., said Lambert had visited her a few hours before she was killed and everything seemed fine.

“She was just here. We were right here talking,” she said. “It’s so unreal. It’s so close to home.”

The dead woman’s two teenagers were being interviewed by officers at the 113th Precinct stationhouse while Bryan took charge of the toddler Sunday night.

Lambert worked at a group home for the mentally impaired run by the Brooklyn Development Disabilities Services Office, colleagues said.

She and her beau had a rocky relationship and were spotted fighting in the street outside her previous home in Mill Basin, Brooklyn, one neighbor said.

In Queens, they tried to keep their troubles private but friends were aware

they often fought.

Police said there was no history of domestic violence at their Jamaica address.

“I know they’re not crazy, but there was too much jealousy between them,” Bryan said.

“They were hard-working people. They got up and went to work every day … She was nice. The kids were drawn to her.”

“It’s atragedy,” Bryan added.
