This is beyond co-workers arguing and fighting, something more was going on. To stab another person with no motive describes a crazy person. I am more than sure that this anger was built up. Exactly what object was used for the stabbing has not been made clear Click below to read the report.

A female state court officer was stabbed in the neck by a male colleague in what appeared to an off-duty domestic incident on Staten Island, police sources said.
The wounded officer was taken to the hospital in stable condition, and police arrested the alleged attacker, who is also a state court officer, at the scene.
The incident occurred at a home on Moffett St. at 4 a.m.
A police source described pair as either in a relationship or just out of one.
