Breaking News: 6.6 Magnitude Earthquake Hits The Pacific!

PUNTA DE BURICA, Panama — A 6.6-magnitude earthquake struck Sunday evening in the Pacific, well off the coast of Panama.

The quake, 201 miles (324km) south of Punta de Burica, hit at a depth of about six miles (10km), the US Geological Survey reported.

It struck at 6:45pm local time.

The epicenter of the quake was a similar distance from the coasts of Costa Rica, Colombia and Ecuador.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injury and no tsunami warning was issued.
