Months later, while free on bond awaiting trial, he allegedly raped and strangled another woman and then went on the run.
“These crimes have demonstrated his violent nature and the need to locate and apprehend him before he can strike again,” said Robert Grant, a spokesman for the FBI’s Chicago office.
A reward of up to $100,000 is being offered for information leading to Urbina’s arrest. The FBI believes he may be hiding out in Mexico.
Adam Mayes, who went on the run in Mississippi with two sisters from Tennessee after slaying their mother and older sister, was added to the Most Wanted list in May but was removed after he fatally shot himself as authorities closed in.
The list also includes Eric Justin Toth, a former private school teacher wanted for possessing child pornography and described by the FBI as a “computer expert,” and Joe Luis Saenz, who allegedly killed two rival gang members in 1998, and then raped and murdered his girlfriend about two weeks later.
