Microsoft announced Xbox Music — a new music service coming to the console, PCs, Windows 8 tablets and Windows Phone devices — at its E3 press conference Monday.

Sporting a library of more than 30 million tracks, the service is presumably killing off Microsoft’s Zune service on those other mobile devices. While Microsoft didn’t offer a ton of details, it did give a brief demo.

In addition to announcing Xbox Music, the company also announced a number of new games for its existing Xbox 360 console as well as a new feature called SmartGlass. SmartGlass will allow users to mirror the content on tablets or smartphones on their television using the Xbox. SmartGlass also lets users continue watching a film on TV that they started watching on a tablet.

E3, the Electronic Entertainment Expo, is an annual video game-centered show in Los Angeles all week. EA, Ubisoft and Sony all have press conferences scheduled for later Monday. Nintendo will be holding its press conference Tuesday morning, but it already released some details about its Wii U console Sunday during a pre-E3 event.
