I hate to post this story especially after saluting NBA father’s but apparently the mother of Chris Bosh’s first child is now applying for food stamps. Â Read more after the jump.
In her first interview about the legal battle that Bosh and former live-in galpal Allison Matthishave been waging in three states, Matthis’ lawyer tells me Orlando resident Matthis was laid off from her gig as a secretary in a construction company and this week applied for federal food assistance.
Matthis is also expecting to see her home go into foreclosure because the child support Bosh is paying doesn’t cover her mortgage!
Things, however, have changed since Matthis lost her job.
Believe it or not, says Carey, Bosh pays her a mere $2,600-a-month in child support!
According to state guidelines, someone like Bosh whose yearly salary is in the $18 million-range should be paying about $30,000-a-month. So Carey asked a judge to adjust the child support.
Meanwhile, she says, Bosh shouldn’t be allowed to take a three-year-old to London for three weeks.
“My client just lost her job and applied for food stamps for her and Mr. Bosh’s daughter. She’s about to be foreclosed on, he won’t help her and all he wants to do is go to London with his daughter. Are kidding?â€
Two lawyers in Orlando who rep Bosh did not return calls and emails requesting comment.
I don’t think $30,000 is necessary to support a child it’s more so to support a lavish lifestyle but I do agree that $2,600 is way too low considering how much money Chris Bosh makes. Â I hope one day these two can settle all of this and think of their beautiful daughter.
Would u want your child growing up in the hood somewhere? Maybe Chris should buy her property in an upscale area and pay the maintenance,tax,etc..just so his daughter can grow up comfortably.30k is way less than 1% of his salary.it is his daughter after all…is she not worth it?
