Tumblr for iPhone has gotten an update, with Version 3.0 of the app now available on the App Store.

Announced last week at a F.ounders event, the update signifies a complete overhaul of the site’s iOS application, bringing both new features and a redesigned interface to the application — mimicking in some ways Tumblr’s popular Android application.

“I’m incredibly proud of our Android development today,” Karp said at the event, referencing the iOS app’s similarities. “I think that app is worlds beyond a lot of the stuff going on on that platform today, and I think it’s an incredible representation of Tumblr.”

Described on Tumblr’s blog as “Better in every possible way,” the iOS update brings a number of features to the app that Tumblr enthusiasts have been waiting for, as well as a few they might have not even realized they were missing out on.

Speed is a huge part of the update, and if you’re used to using Tumblr’s iOS app you’ll notice the performance enhancements right off the bat.

Other updates include:

Sleeker Dashboard: High-res images, Spotify support, improved photosets, and more.
New post forms: Faster uploads and handy shortcuts (swipe the compose button up for camera, swipe left for text)
Offline support: Post, like, reply, and reblog even when you’re not connected
Tag search and Radar
You can check out all the updates first-hand by downloading the update from the App Store.
