Just last Tuesday, the Spice Girls reunited in London for the launch of their Viva Forever musical and it got us thinking — is there still ANY chance for our other favorite groups getting back together???
Well, get ready to Say My Name, Say My Name!
We caught up with Michelle Williams from Destiny’s Child at the BET Awards and asked her if we should still be holding out hope for her, Beyonce and Kelly Rowland to reunite on stage for a tour someday!
Michelle revealed:
“Man, when I saw the Spice Girls, I was like ‘Okay, okay, come on DC! We gotta do it, too!'”
When asked if a DC-3 reunion was in the works or if it would happen anytime soon, Michelle responded:
“Hopefully, we’ll see…I don’t rule it out as just never! It’ll be eight years [since the group parted ways]!”
Dayum!
Has it really been THAT long?! There still has yet to be another pop/R&B girl group that matches up to Destiny’s Child’s success!
We’re glad to hear the girls are still as super close as ever, with Michelle telling us that she just recently had a little visit with Baby Blue Ivy!
While Beyonce is caught up in motherhood and working her way back on stage, the other girls are hard at work on their upcoming solo albums!
Michelle has a gospel record on the way next year and Kelly is also working on her next album, with Ice, her HOT collaboration with Lil Wayne, leaking earlier this week!
We hope they don’t keep us waiting TOO long!
