ALTADENA (KTLA) — A bear and two cubs were caught taking a dip in a backyard pool in Altadena Saturday but managed to make it back to the wild, a sheriff’s department official said.

When deputies arrived, the bears were already gone.

This is the latest in a series of black bear sightings in the foothill neighborhoods of the Angeles National Forest. In some hillside neighborhoods, they are a regular sight early in the morning on trash pick-up day.
