A group of New York animal rights activists hatched a plan to lure accused Canadian cannibal Luka Magnotta into a trap by using porn star Ron Jeremy as bait — a year before the alleged killer was captured in Germany. Click below to read the rest of the story.

The idea was to have Jeremy invite Magnotta, a small-time porn actor who became infamous after allegedly videotaping the slaughter of a lover, to audition for a skin flick — then grab him when he arrived on the set.
Jeremy, who has performed in more than 2,000 porn movies, was eager to help when the idea was first proposed to him last year, said Sia Barbi, a former Playboy Playmate who made the pitch to the porn star.
“He said he’d do anything to help the animals,” Barbi told The Daily News on Wednesday.
But Jeremy wilted when he realized this could be dangerous.
“To be honest, I can’t blame him,” Barbi said. “When I started thinking about it, it started to scare me too.”
Jeremy said trapping somebody like Magnotta was “a little bit out of my league.”
