A 20-year-old gunman brazen enough to shoot at cops was found cowering under a bed a short time later, the NYPD said Friday.
The incident unfolded in the Brooklyn’s Red Hook houses when cops responded to a report of a man with a gun about 1 a.m.
When cops confronted suspect Bobby Boomer, who had a .45-caliber pistol in his waistband, he ran off, but turned and fired once at the plainclothes officers, police said.
No one was hit, and police did not return fire.
Boomer then threw the loaded gun to the ground and ran into the building at 21 Mill St., cops said.
He apparently made his way to the roof, crossed over to 15 Mill St., went to a pal’s apartment there and hid under a bed.
Police found him a short time later.
Charges are pending, and police are checking to see if the gun was used in any other crimes.
A police source said Boomer has arrests for marijuana and several felonies on his record and that he was on probation for a drug case in Pennsylvania.
