Sylvester Stallone’s 36-year-old son was found dead in a Los Angeles home after an apparent overdose on pills, sources told TMZ.com.

Police are investigating whether Sage Stallone’s death was intentional or accidental.

Sources told the gossip site that Sylvester Stallone — who had been at San Diego Comic-Con promoting his upcoming film, “Expendables 2” — “is a wreck.”

Sage’s mother, Sasha Czack, has also reportedly been told of her son’s passing.

The younger Stallone has a handful of movie credits to his name – most recently Vincent Gallo’s of “Promises Written in Water.”

More recently, he co-founded Grindhouse Releasing, a company that restores exploitation films.

He debuted playing the son of his father’s Rocky Balboa in his father’s 1990 film, “Rocky V.”

George Braunstein, who has been Sage’s lawyer for more than 15 years, said the family is “devastated.”

“Everybody’s devastated,” he said. “He was a very creative person.” Braunstein said Sage worked hard as a writer, director and film distributor. “He was just a wonderful, wonderful person. It’s a terrible tragedy.”

Braunstein just spoke to him a couple of days ago.

“He was up and happy,” he said. “he was talking about getting married.”
